Valet Mode

• Overview: Valet mode allows you to restrict access to certain vehicle features and settings when handing your car over to a valet or someone else.

• Navigate to the vehicle settings menu on the infotainment system or instrument cluster display.

• Look for the Valet Mode option within the security or safety settings menu. Enable it and follow any on-screen prompts to set a PIN code if required.

• Once Valet Mode is activated, you may have the option to customize which features and settings are restricted, such as infotainment system access, maximum speed limit, or trunk release.

Phone Projection

• Allows you to mirror your smartphone's interface and apps onto the vehicle's infotainment display for safe and convenient use while driving via Apple CarPlay or Android Auto

Over-the-Air Updates

• Allows Kia to send software updates and patches directly to your vehicle's systems, including infotainment, safety features, and performance enhancements.

• Ensure Vehicle Connectivity: Ensure your Kia vehicle is connected to a stable Wi-Fi network with an active internet connection.

• Check for Updates: Navigate to the vehicle settings menu on the infotainment system and look for the Software Update or Over-the-Air Update option.

• Initiate Update: Select the option to check for updates. If any updates are available, follow the on-screen prompts to download and install them.

• Installation Process: The installation process may take some time, and your vehicle may need to be parked and turned off during the update process. Follow any instructions provided on the screen.

Digital Key 2 Touch

• Allows you to unlock and start your Kia vehicle using your smartphone as a digital key, typically via Bluetooth connectivity.

• Download the Kia Access with UVO link app from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android) and create an account.

• Follow the instructions in the app to pair your smartphone with your Kia vehicle via Bluetooth.

• Once paired, navigate to the Digital Key section in the app and follow the prompts to set up your digital key. You may need to authenticate your identity and confirm vehicle ownership.

• With the digital key set up, you can unlock and start your vehicle by approaching it with your smartphone. Follow any additional instructions provided in the app for specific actions.

Forward Parking Distance Warning

• Alerts the driver to objects in front of the vehicle when parking.

Rear Cross-Traffic Collision Warning & Avoidance

• Warns the driver of vehicles approaching from the side while reversing and can intervene to prevent a collision.

Rear View Monitor

• Provides a view of the area behind the vehicle to assist with reversing maneuvers.

Reverse Parking Distance Warning

• Alerts the driver to objects behind the vehicle when parking in reverse.

Safe Exit Assist

• Detects approaching traffic from the rear and prevents the rear doors from opening if a vehicle is approaching to avoid accidents.

Safe Exit Warning

• Alerts occupants if a vehicle or cyclist is approaching from behind when opening the doors to exit.

Blind Spot Collision Avoidance & Assistance

• Assists with avoiding collisions with vehicles in the blind spot by providing steering assistance.

Blind Spot Collision Warning

• Warns the driver of vehicles in the blind spot to prevent potential collisions during lane changes.

Highway Driving Assist

• Assists with steering, acceleration, and braking to maintain a set distance from the vehicle ahead on highways.

Driver Attention Warning

• Monitors driving patterns and alerts the driver if signs of drowsiness or inattentiveness are detected.

Download the App: Visit the App Store (for iOS devices) or Google Play Store (for Android devices).

• Search for Kia Access: In the search bar, type "Kia Access" and locate the official app developed by Kia Corporation.

• Install the App: Tap on the "Install" or "Get" button to download and install the app on your smartphone.

• Open the App: Once the installation is complete, tap on the app icon to open it.

• Create an Account: If you're a new user, you'll need to create an account. Tap on the "Sign Up" or "Create Account" option and follow the prompts to enter your email address, create a password, and provide any other required information.

• Login: If you already have an account, tap on the "Login" or "Sign In" option and enter your credentials (email address and password) to log in.

• Access Vehicle Pairing: After logging in, you'll be prompted to pair your Kia vehicle with the app.

• Bluetooth Connection: Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your smartphone. Follow the on-screen instructions to pair your smartphone with your Kia vehicle via Bluetooth.

• Confirmation: Once paired, you'll receive a confirmation message indicating successful pairing.

• App Features

  • Dashboard: The app's dashboard provides an overview of your vehicle's status, including fuel level, tire pressure, maintenance reminders, and more.

    • Remote Commands: Depending on your vehicle's capabilities, you may be able to remotely lock/unlock doors, start/stop the engine, adjust climate control settings, and activate the horn/lights.

    • Vehicle Health Report: Access diagnostic information and receive alerts for any potential issues detected in your vehicle.

    • Service Appointments: Schedule service appointments at your preferred Kia dealership directly through the app.

    • Digital Key: If supported by your vehicle model, use your smartphone as a digital key to unlock/lock doors and start the engine.

      UVO Intelligence (if applicable): Explore additional features and services offered through Kia's UVO Intelligence platform, such as navigation, roadside assistance, and remote vehicle monitoring.

• Settings and Preferences

  • Profile Settings: Access and update your account information, including email address, password, and notification preferences.

    • Vehicle Settings: Customize vehicle settings and preferences, such as door lock/unlock behavior, climate control presets, and driver assistance settings.
