Safety Features
Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC)
Function: Maintains a set speed and distance from the car ahead.
Activate: Press the ACC button on the steering wheel.
Set Speed: Use the controls to set your desired speed.
Adjust Distance: Use the distance setting button to adjust the following distance.
Lane Keeping Assist (LKA)
Function: Helps keep the vehicle centered in its lane.
Activate: Press the LKA button on the steering wheel or dashboard.
Monitor: The system will alert you if you drift out of your lane without signaling.
Blind Spot Monitor
Function: Alerts you to vehicles in your blind spots.
Activate: Typically always on, but can be toggled through the vehicle settings.
Visual Alert: Look for an illuminated icon in your side mirrors when a vehicle is detected in your blind spot.
Rear Cross-Traffic Alert
Function: Warns of approaching traffic when reversing.
Activate: The system is usually active when the vehicle is in reverse.
Audible and Visual Alerts: Beeps and dashboard alerts will notify you of approaching vehicles.
Forward Collision Warning and Autonomous Emergency Braking (FCW and AEB)
Function: Alerts you of potential collisions and applies brakes if necessary.
Activate: These features are typically always on, but can be adjusted in the settings.
Response: The system will give an audible warning and apply brakes if a collision is imminent.
Park Assist
Function: Helps with parallel and perpendicular parking.
Activate: Press the Park Assist button.
Follow Instructions: Follow on-screen prompts and use the steering wheel and pedals as directed by the system.
Traffic Sign Recognition
Function: Detects and displays road signs on the instrument cluster.
Activate: Typically always on, but can be toggled in the settings.
Display: Keep an eye on the instrument cluster for detected traffic signs.
Driver Attention Monitor
Function: Alerts you if signs of drowsiness or inattentiveness are detected.
Activate: The system is always active and will alert you if it detects patterns of inattentive driving.

Vehicle Checks
Fluid Checking: Locate the hood release level inside the vehicle and release the secondary latch under the hood
Engine Oil
Find the dipstick, which usually has a yellow or orange handle.
Check the Oil Level:
Pull the dipstick out, wipe it clean with a cloth, reinsert it fully, and then pull it out again.
Check the oil level against the markers on the dipstick. It should be between the minimum and maximum markers.
Coolant
Find the coolant reservoir, a translucent container with a “low” and “full” marking.
Look at the side of the reservoir to see the coolant level. It should be between the “low” and “full” marks.
Windshield Washer
Find the reservoir, typically marked with a windshield/water symbol on the cap.
The reservoir is usually translucent, allowing you to see the fluid level. If it’s not visible, you can open the cap and look inside.
