Delivery Checklist for ACERTUS Drivers

Welcome to TrueCar+! First and foremost, to all Driveaway Drivers, thank you for assisting TrueCar in providing our customers with a top of the line experience, and the ability to purchase their vehicle fully online. Your part is crucial to making TrueCar+ successful. As the last part of the journey, much of the experience lies on your shoulders. Below is a walkthrough of how we expect a typical delivery of TrueCar+ to go.

Awareness of Vehicle:
You will be notified that a TrueCar+ vehicle is coming your way via your portal, and it will be assigned to you by ACERTUS
Review the Following Documents:
If a Used Vehicle:
Review this document and be prepared to know these things about the vehicle
If a New Vehicle:
Review this document, then depending on the make of the vehicle you are delivering, select the make of the vehicle from this list and review the document called “Guide”. Be prepared to show the customer how to complete all of these actions in their vehicle.
To get more comfortable with the vehicle, or answer questions, feel free to use the additional resources found in the OEM Protocols list
Before you Drive the Vehicle to the Customer:
Ensure the vehicle is vacuumed, cleaned and fully gassed
Make sure you understand all the parts of the vehicle you will be walking the customer through
Ensure all relevant registration components have been completed
Call the customer and confirm the expected window of time you will be showing up
Call the TrueCar contact center (1-888-878-3227) and let them know the expected arrival time window
Ensure you’re wearing a TrueCar polo top for the delivery. These can be found in the Dispatcher’s office
Drive the Vehicle to the Customer:
If you need to top up the vehicle with gas again, do so
Once Arrived at the Customer:
Introduce yourself to the customer
Confirm via identification that you are dropping the vehicle off with the correct person
If Used: Walk the customer through the document you reviewed
If New: Teach the customer how to use their new vehicle
Using the customer’s phone, call/Facetime the dealership (this number will be provided to you)
The dealership will walk the customer through the app download and walkthrough of the OEM app
If there are any specialized features that require guidance, the dealer will walk the customer through these
Hang up with the dealer
Walk the customer through the two documents you reviewed
Customer Completes Delivery Acknowledgement:
Have the customer sign this checklist sharing that they have received their vehicle and been taught how to use it
QR Code if customer wants to do on their phone:
Let the customer know to expect a follow up call from TrueCar checking up on their experience
If there is a Trade-In:
Complete your typical trade-in pickup steps
Drive Away!
Call TrueCar Contact Center (1-888-878-3227) and let them know that the delivery has been completed. Please provide us with any information you think we need.
